I should be farther along in this book. But after finishing the introduction I felt I must read it again.

“The covenant people is no longer a physical, but a spiritual nation (Matthew 21:43). Hence, physical bloodlines do not give membership in this nation or permit participation in its covenant signs! Baptism, therefore professes what circumcision demanded. Circumcision did demand a new heart, indeed, but it did not profess a new heart. Baptism professes a new heart.” Pg. 413

“To Satan‘s eternal confusion and ruin, God in his infinite wisdom united both the natures he had sinned against in the one person of the Son…By this, his destruction is accomplished with everlasting shame in the revelation of his foolishness in attempting to overthrow infinite wisdom, as well as his misery in being overthrown himself by the power of the two natures united in one person.” Pg. 29

What the sight of God is, and how we will react to it, we cannot imagine. Nevertheless, we do know this, that God in his immense essence is invisible to our physical eyes, and will be in eternity just as he will always be incomprehensible to our minds. So the sight which we shall have of God will always be in ‘the face of Jesus Christ.’ Pg. 9

“The glory of the Second Adam far exceeds the first in both the circumstances of and the demands made upon their obedience. The First Adam had to obey in the garden of Eden, while the Second Adam had to obey in the wilderness of a wicked world. The First Adam merely had to refuse to eat of the tree, while the Second Adam had to die on the tree, the cross.” Pg. 188

Only a small portion of the way through, but if the remainder of the book is similar to the first 60 pages this is an absolute treasure trove.
