i should truly not be relating to the melancholy of the suicidal character, but its just written in such a way that i feel like elif shafak has personally read my journal. girl leave me aloneee

i'm so locked in. this is beautiful. the writing just immediately pulls me into the story. the vocabulary and the cadence of the sentences are so good at creating an atmosphere that i end up reciting out loud as i read. this is going to be a very slow read and i'll enjoy every second of it.
