This book is a chore

Reading a bunch of subsystems in an automated car talk with each other like they're the crew of a napoleon-era warship or something is a unique delight

"Now the terrible noise of time approaches, the most violent
sound in the world."

Oh yeah, this is going to be good

Stalled a bit. While good, it's a little 'dense' in the sense that it's a tricky casual read.

Maybe a little 'soft' on specifics but the book has definitely gotten in my brain a bit, because even as I'm typing this it makes me ask "What part of me is saying that and what, if anything, is that protecting me from?"
