Funny, I had to put this one aside for a little while. I guess I wasn't feeling the push for self compassion? Honestly, it seemed self indulgent to even be reading this. Which is probably an indicator that I need to read it.

I guess I need to be sad right now, so I'm re reading this one. Absolutely love this book

I'm wondering if the printed book has any indication that the word "proprioception" should be pronounced differently from its standard English pronunciation.

Because that word shows up a lot in the book, and the narrator is weird about it.

Eh. I don't think I can finish this. You just can't have a girl in a Russian/Jewish fairy tale from a century ago say "okay." And no, that's not the only problem but the whole thing kinda just has that flavor. Eghck.

Y'know, I'm just not into stories told with a male gaze. Don't love it. There's already not enough time in one person's life to read all of the good books

No. Very uncomfortable story to start the book, about non-consent and coercion.

IDK how to describe why I love certain books I love without using a description that might also fit this book. But I'm not into this. It's just not grabbing me. Setting it aside for a bit to move on to the next one...

This is NOT heartwarming

This book has such a different vibe from The Doomsday Book. This is madcap. Antics. Hijinks. Zany. I'm not sure if I like it
