It has taken me a long time to get into this novel. There are lots of Spanish phrases/sentences in the initial pages that I just didn't understand and couldn't get past. I kept at it, and it is getting better. the stories are starting to weave themselves together and form a larger whole, which is good because it was so disjointed early on.
