been looking for our copy of 1515 by faisal tehrani for a few days now (pls i hope we still have it!) 😵‍💫 has anyone read it? i remember how much i loved it but have forgotten the plot so i’m excited to re-experience things! i used to enjoy ft’s works as a young adult. i think it all started with detective indigo if not kombat.

First, reaching the bottom of page 68, I just wanted to say this as a note-to-self: I’m grateful to have found a space where I can be vulnerable and feel safe doing so. Counselling slash therapy, good psychotherapists and peers are blessings.

Next, I’m all the more intrigued to know more about the three characters; Kazuko, Mother and Naoji, with Naoji actively in frame now.

Phew, the last two short stories from Trickery (Roald Dahl) are good. Enjoyed them.

PS: Princess Mammalia gave me a ‘young cheeky-villain in One Punch Man’ vibe I couldn’t unsee it ahah. Kudos to Dahl’s story telling. And a mini ref to the ‘curse of the crown’ bit in Vinland Saga.

Just realised that I’m one book away to hit my 2022 reading challenge. Quantity is okay I guess but what I’m more proud of (and v emotional about) is the fact that I’m interested in something 😭 & have come across works I really treasure. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I was in, and still moving in and out of, a mental health dip. It sucks. So to have this is kinda nice aH.

MC’s a takes-no-nonsense type and kinda petty I am amused LOL curious to see how things develop. Two chapters in, hooked.

Guess I’m picking up Nihongo again bcs I need to read manga in Japanese. Lofty dream I’d say but non-translated works are cheaper so let my miskeen bank acc be the cheerleader 📣

Girl resuming therapy when? ANYWAY this has been a good read so far with an average of 12.3 pages per chapter –yes I just did the math on calculator. This is crucial for me. So, I love that it doesn’t require a lot of work for my bain to process the writing (straightforward, love bullet points, visuals, tysm), love the pace and Q prompts where they fit. Sort of like a cue to pause and take a breather.

And btw why is nobody selling a good condition-preloved Kokoro not a single one I NEED PLS.
