Took while to get into, I'm not a huge fan of vicariously reliving high school, but ultimately brilliant. Structurally similar to a Russian doll with something awful and rotted in the middle, where the filaments of mold pry through the different layers of the doll (narrative) in a fascinating way.

As several other reviewers have mentioned, this book isn't about the end of power so much as it is about the end of untrammeled consolidation. I learned some stuff, but since Naím is one of those lamenting the rise of the maddening crowd, I'll need to read something else that shows me how to put this new distribution of power into practice.
