Two books in and these are very different from the Space Opera 'planet stories' you might expect. Stableford is very erudite, and if your characters are orbiting a gravity well nebula, Brian will tell you all about the science. Wasted on me, I'm afraid—I enjoy the verisimilitude of the moment, but science goes in one ear and out the other with me.
