I like the pacing, although sometimes it feels like a scene could be unnecessary or cut to make space for some more time spent on what feel like more important details. The main setup scene for the meat of this book felt SUPER rushed. Otherwise, I'm enjoying this read so far! Reminds me of Us Dark Few, just more medieval in it's vibes somehow, even with all the tech of the prison.

Ashley ʚ♡ɞ is 85% done with Call Me Anytime (The Protectors #1)

I was really liking the FMC up until now. I've been homeless three times in my life, and the sheer amount of pride she has is obnoxious and partly why so many people in situations like me or her never get out. I'm stubborn as hell, but at least I'm smart enough to know accepting help is better than self-loathing and drowning

Hopefully this book gets back on track, it was turning out to be a pretty nice read :(

Ashley ʚ♡ɞ is on page 101 of 476 of Potion of Deception (Potion of Deception, #1)

I am enjoying it, but it is really obvious that it was unedited. It does affect the experience, but I am planning to finish it because I do really enjoy the plot, the writing is just really repetitive, with some characters saying things in the same described way one after the other multiple scenes. I feel like it causes a lack of actual emotion.
