Started re-reading it again to finally finished it after picking it up in December 2025 right back after I moved back in with Family, wanting to avoid reality. I wanted to read a book which was messy, heartbreaking where the protagonist was just trying to get through it ( like me) and this is exactly that.
I am so excited to finish this one and see how it connects to 'Heart the Lover' next.

I need to read more Mary Oliver poems stat!
This book has a quote that I highlight every few pages.
Frederik has such a unique ability to tell dark topics through such simple dialogue. Every single one of his books the world building and characters are so well written it's like a motion picture in my brain when I read them.

Love starting books on a flight

I'm dragging my feet trying to finish the book because I will miss Evelyn. Enjoyed.

Listening to an audiobook is so fun . Especially this book which is so character driven. Needed a fun read after a sad book (only to go back to another sad one after this I'm sure ;))

Seems like the midway point of the book can't wait to see how the arc of edge character ends up

Listening to an audiobook every few months in a year is a nice refresher
