DNF - I got into about 30% of the book and realized it just wasn't what I was looking for. Also, by that time, shouldn't the title reflect at least /something/ of what's going on in the story? I was a tad confused.

I'm listening to the audio book of this story. It sounds robotic, as in AI generated, though it may not be. My kids would be in an uproar if I read a book to them the way this reader does. So while AI is 'the new cool,' I still prefer listening to someone read a story with the correct inflections.
The most unfair thing about it is that the story itself is probably a whole lot better than I'm getting in the audio.

I didn't even start this book once I read the info at the beginning. The author gets full marks for being up front about the content. That helped me know this book just wasn't for me.

I don't know that I'll ever finish this book. It's been really difficult to even want to know what happens next. The characters...are hard to connect with.
