I’ll admit, I was a little concerned with the slow 🐌start, but I should know by now not to underestimate AY’s storytelling.

For those reading Brimstone, let's play a drinking game. Take a sip every time Saeris or Fisher says “my mate” when a simple “he” or “she” would do. On second thought, please don’t. You’d be in the ER by chapter three with alcohol poisoning.

I must admit, it feels good to be reunited with Fisher and his filthy mouth 😮‍💨, Carrion and his nonstop witty banter, and Onyx the fox. 🖤

I love Adrienne Young, but this one has started out a bit too slow for my taste. Hoping it picks up soon. 🤞🏻

Thank you TXGAL1 for reviewing this book and introducing me to this author. I'm on the edge of my seat with this one and loving it.

Not your typical vampire tale, and I'm here for it.

So hard to read at times, yet just as difficult to put down.

“That is the sensible response. But part of me will die on Monday morning too. The part that believes in justice. When that dies, Mrs. Nettles, I shall never be worth a damn again.”

"If I say I stand on the side of truth," he answered, "does that make me a soldier or a pawn?"

"I think," he replied after some deliberation, "that this town is the host to a very cunning evil. Whether it is demon or man, it does seem Satanic. More than that, I can't say."

Started off slow, but I'm glad I stuck with it.

"Truth", she said acidly. "Truth in this town is a ghost, its life long departed."

Still clueless as to what the heck’s going on, but still turning pages because I love chaos apparently.

Please don't ask me what's going on in this book because I have no idea. 😆 Thankfully my buddy Brooke is along for the ride because we are going to have a lot to chat about.
