The drama, the impending doom, the obvious but still daunting foreshadowing - I love it. And I love reading genres I'm not as familiar with because I can enjoy Tropes that more accustomed people would maybe find boring.

Und der Preis für die Eltern(figuren) des Jahres geht an ... alle in diesem Buch mit dieser Rolle 🤨 [Das ist keine Kritik an diesem Buch, aber sie sind echt alle low key terrible so far]

Bitte hintefrag doch mal Dinge, bitte mach doch eeeiinmaaaal einen Plan 😭 Kein Wunder, dass in diesem Buch alle Eltern tot sind. Die sind safe alle an einem Nervenzusammenbruch gestorben, weil ihre Kinder sie in den Wahnsinn getrieben haben.

"Sie war nirgendwo mehr sicher, nicht einmal innerhalb dieser gut bewachten Mauern." INNERHALB DER MAUERN, WO LEUTE SIND, DIE DEINEN VATER UMBRINGEN WOLLTEN???? Ich kann das nicht mehr, mit diesem Plothole, das keinerlei Relevanz hat 🫠

Mir fällt gerade erst auf, dass sie weiß, dass jemand in der Gilde mit einem Krieg gedroht hat, wenn der Mord an ihrem Vater untersucht wird und das erste, was sie tut, ist allen zu erzählen, dass er ihr Vater ist. Also wenn ich jetzt die Person wäre, die die Drohung ausgesprochen hätte, würde ich ja schnell 1 und 1 zusammen zählen

Ich werde mich an dieses Buch erinnern, wenn ich mal wieder der festen Überzeugung bin, dass ich in meinem Manuskript nichts kürzen kann 🥱

Ich verstehe die innere Logik des Buches schon, warum sie Leute wie Grey für diese Arbeit suchen, aber auf die grafischen Ausführungen kann ich verzichten 🫠

Für winzige Schrift und 1040 Seiten liest sich das bisher recht kurzweilig. Aber ist so ein richtiges 2010er Buch irgendwie 😅

Alle 10 Seiten (unkritisierte) Harry Potter Referenzen in einem Buch in 2025 sind nicht cool 👍🏻

Hahaahha das nächste Kapitel ist 160 Seiten lang, oh boy, ich rechne mit dem Schlimmsten. Das letzte Kapitel, das so lang war, war das unter Y'Ghatan und das war einfach traumatizing :)))))))))))))))))))))))))

So I started. Then I read that a famous German TERF likes this book. Which is not necessarily the book's fault, but you know. I stopped reading. Maybe our book club on Sunday can convince me to still read it.

Wie kann ich eigentlich immer noch so verwirrt von dieser Reihe sein

For my next read, I wish for a magic system that I can comprehend without needing a college degree. 😌

I do like the vibes we have going on, but it's so hard to get into? And the system is a tad complicated. Just a tad. I'm actually so confused. Help.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I can't stand Niko 😅 Maybe it's because I have no idea what lead to him being that way thanks to all the time jumps, because it feels super disconnected.

There will come a chapter where Shae has a moment of peace. But it's definitely not any of these 😌

Did not expect that book to make me cry, but here we are :))))

I'm always amazed how quickly men (non-fictional and fictional) manage it to make me despise them 😌 (This is not a criticism of the book, I don't mind being a hater of men 🥰)
