Starting this book is like being dropped into a fever dream or starting a movie halfway through. Unfortunately I feel zero connection to the (very strange) characters who clearly have a backstory and complicated relationship I'm not privy to. This should not be labeled as a standalone.

Are we seriously okay with Onnika lying about her boss??? It's somehow ok to make this kind of accusation because it's inconvenient to tell the truth?! This could ruin a person's life, cost them their freedom, their reputation or even their life!

The entire conversation about her being the world's oldest virgin at 24...ugh

Virginity being lugged around like some albatross around the neck of an uncoordinated, awkward girl. Like it's something that needs to be "dealt with." 🙄

And guys who think this way "The one time I realized I was dating a virgin, I ended the relationship immediately." Disgusting

Plus, I’ve been the eternal limbo as Sophie is with Mason and as much as I like him, I want to junk punch him. I know KF has great things in store but so far, it’s got me in the feels.

I’m hating this as much as I love it. The relationship with the other guy feels so familiar to a situation from my past and it’s killing me. “He changed once I let him in, and he knew how to use my compassion against me. There are times when I try to be on my best behavior because I don’t want to upset him, knowing it might set him off.”

Dear God, Kaylee Ryan is killing me. this is my first time reading this author and I'm sitting here bawling. not one glistening tear, BALWING. Can't see the words crying.

OMG, this book is wrecking me. I love the family as much as I do Slade and Austyn. What an incredible family for this orphaned man.
