K is starting The Giver of Stars

DNF. Maybe for another time - but I just couldn't get into it. All that dialect got on my nerves!

K is starting Jane Eyre

DNF. This was a book club read. I finally got the library book. Unfortunately, as part of the intro material several endorsements (mainly Joyce Carol Oates) wrote an entire plot summary and ruined the story for those that haven't read it or can't remember many details!! So I ditched it and watched the movie so I could at least talk somewhat intelligently about the book.

K is on page 25 of 288 of Forever Friday

Sorry - DNF!! I just couldn't keep on reading it. It didn't hold my attention or show any potential that it would in the near future. It wasn't bad but it wasn't all that great -- just sorta ho-hum. And with that being said, life is just too short to read ho-hum!

K is on page 86 of 343 of Major Pettigrew's Last Stand

I just can't take anymore. Rarely do I not finish a book but the main character is just too pitiful. How in the world could someone so namby-pamby have been a major in the service?!!
