This is as intense as I expected it to be!

Jorg Ancrath has to be one of my favourite characters ever. Please, Book Gods, let him continue to be awesome!

I'm enjoying this way more than I thought I would, but it's less friends-with-benefits, more standard-romance than I was anticipating. Not that that's a bad thing, but I'm anticipating a bust-up/misunderstanding that I can't be bothered with right now.

*PUTS EVERYTHING INCLUDING LIFE ON HOLD* Nothing matters but reading this for the next however-many hours. I hope it lives up to my hype.

I am reminded of why I always preferred Atretes and Rizpah's relationship over Marcus and Hadassah's, as sweet as it was. These two just have so much more fire and heat and give and take. Also, Rizpah is far more 'human'...she's more real to me. I can relate to Rizpah, but boy oh boy, if Atretes had kissed me I wouldn't be running away! I did always make a poor Christian *giggles suggestively*

And now it's time for my man Atretes *hearts appear in eyes*

It's 6:30am and I've been reading all night and I should really get some sleep but damn I love this book! It's definitely as good as I remember it being!

I'll admit I've read this book and this series a few times already and it is single-handedly responsible for my love of historical literature. It is also, from memory, one of the best Christian AND historical romances I've ever read. I hope that I still feel the same way about it now! We shall see!

I started it since I just read the first two but now I must admit to changing my mind! I feel like a change of scenery, but I'll definitely come back to this soon!
