This book has too many characters.

False alarm. Thank God. They’re actually communicating!

This was going well, and I was enjoying it until she pulled yet another miscommunication trope. She seems to love to use miscommunication to manufacture drama, and I hate that more than anything else in romance.

I can’t tell if I like this book or not.

These characters really do deserve each other. They’re annoying.

I already hate the main character. She’s unlikeable and not in a charming way.

I like it. But I don’t. It feels like a mashup of Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.

This is too much summer for a book that looked and sounded like an autumn read.

The twist was good. It got me. I’m curious how this is going to end. There’s still quite a bit left. There has to be another twist coming.

Wasn’t able to finish before I had to return it to the library. I’m still not sure how I feel about this book. Now, I have to wait two months to get it back.

Hmmm. I feel like they’re ignoring what happened to Barry’s family. So many people who will have to live with horrific trauma.

I can’t tell if I like this book or not.

This isn’t scary. Sigh.

I don’t hate it, but I don’t think I love it either. Listening to the audiobook, and I’m having trouble understanding why they would hire a male and female narrator but not have them do the dialogue for the male/female characters in each other’s chapters. I hate when narrators do the voices for the opposite sex.
