I hope to finish this book this weekend

Unexpectedly read a lot today, but still disappointed that I am not even halfway done. It made me think why more people watch movies (and tv shows) than read books: because the payoffs are quicker. I read about 150 pages today and I dunno, Langdon is still "running around." I am liking the topic though, and I have a suspicion what it might be. Some YouTube videos I watched the past weeks seem related.

More than halfway done, I hope to finish this book this weekend

Finally gotten back in to some kind of reading groove. I just have to force myself to read. 😅 Because when I do start reading I can keep the momentum going. It's just a matter of consciously choosing to read instead of watching a TV show or doom scrolling online 🙃

I got passed the twist now, didn't see that coming. Then again, I wasn't that invested while reading this one. Personally I feel the story seems stretched out. I don't think I can finish this tonight but I'll try. I do want to finish a book this year lol

I picked this book up again and read it for an hour yesterday. That's good for me, because I haven't been reading a lot the past few months. I don't think I have finished a book this year. I need discipline haha... when I think about where my time goes, I think I could do less with social media. Sometimes I find myself just doom-scrolling for 30 minutes after waking up. I need to not do that anymore.

I hope I can finish this tomorrow so that I can squeeze 1 more book for Women's History Month

Me before starting the book: "Catherine Ryan Hyde is my go-to author if I want something light and contemporary to read."
Me now: "Well this is contemporary but the topic is not light. Homelessness, child protective services, etc. I hope the story ends in a lighter note."

This is one of those books where I rather read it than watch a TV show ^_^ I hope I finish this tomorrow!
