Mostly, I’m loving the dedication. That’s the energy I need to bring to my relationship with myself.

A notice is a person who can never be entirely self-absorbed, though he’s pretty close.

This is a lot of mentions of photographic memory. Is it like people won’t believe he can remember things? 🙁

How is he not investigating the “ReLive project” he overheard about when he’s reliving days?? Maybe it comes up soon.

Losing Charlie to a baby is basically the adult version of when your best friend gets a boyfriend at school. All the pain, but you can’t complain.

Can’t tell if the writing is bad or the character’s speaking/thinking is bad - or she’s just annoyingly stuck in a messed up rut. Sam is a joy, though, as are Conner and Shani.

Cute, would be way more into it if I were a good person/was interested in the kind of food Sadie cooks. Cultural identity stuff can feel shoehorned in if it doesn’t resonate so that’s just another personal thing.

Weird that Luke’s mom never ever comes up or gets a mention when he’s got a racist dad and his halmoni was so important to him.

This is one of those books I know I should read but just can’t keep going. It’s different from the rest of them I’m that I do keep coming back to it. Slowly, slowly, as with real first-hand grief.
