I’m really enjoying this.

I am super enjoying this book so far! Fast paced and great plot!

This book is excellent so far. The author discloses that there is hope as she herself has suffered with ROCD. It’s a super informative read and is extremely resonant.

I am really enjoying this book so far. I was skeptical when I first started it, fearing it would be cheesy. I also felt relief because we are inundated with labels and rules thanks to pop psychology and social media and there is no room for humanity within that framework. We are all messed up in some way and being perfectionists about relationships and partners and ourselves keeps us ambivalent and imprisoned!

Entertaining but some real off-putting kink-shaming.

I’m really really liking this book so far.

This author is a very good writer. This is a quick and engrossing read - though very stressful. At one point I considered DNF’ing it, but I’m sticking with it for the reasons I’ve already mentioned.

A bit of a slog, but don’t insightful tidbits.

The writing is awful. I’ve loved some of the author’s other books, but thrillers - not romance. I’ll finish this but I’ll do it begrudgingly. It’s a painful read.

I really don’t like Alice, the main character. We’ll see if I feel differently once I’ve finished the book.

I am hating this book, but determined to finish it as it was a thoughtful gift. My husband read through reviews to pick this to gift to me. It’s outside of my preferred genres, but new things can be great things. This book is not for me. It’s painful, actually, because I detest it so much.

Goddamn, this book is good! It was just alright to start. Engaging enough. But I’m so hooked now that I just had the thought,” I may have given up religion years ago, but I now have Stephen King to keep my imagination alive!”

I am intrigued to see how this ends. I find the writing aggravating. First of all, the suspense lacks because almost everything gets handed to the reader. There are so many points where suspense could have been built! Secondly, there an error on page 57. Minor, but set the tone off wrong. The kid doesn’t state her age but Darby knows it. Lastly, the female voices and dialogue are wrong. They read like males.

Stopped reading

So far so great! Intriguing. I’m thinking about the book when I’m doing other things. What a concept!

This book is wonderful, so far. Imaginative, unlike any other book I've read. The spelling mistakes are driving me crazy, though! I find it so distracting! Ie. "taunt" instead of "taut", "scared" instead of "scarred", etc. I think that the editor used a program that didn't catch these words because they're not misspelled, but, instead are wrongly used. Argh!

Couldn't finish it. Too distracted.
