So far, from the foreword on... Amazing.

Eh-- I give up for now.

Hmmmm... I really enjoyed the first third of the book, as Gabaldon introduced the various geographical and historical contexts and developed the characters. Since about page 250, though, I feel like I'm in the middle of a cheesy romance-- too many familiar tropes of books I have never wanted to read. The "romantic" scenes distract me from keeping track of plot developments... not that I don't enjoy them, but...

Fun fun fun. I'm already obsessed enough with my stomach! LOL. But I've always meant to read Mary Roach, and since I just discovered my food allergies recently I thought this one might be fun.

These stories keep surprising me in the most delightful way. I love that for the most part they are about old people.

Enjoying, as always, Atwood's dark play.

The writing didn't capture me, but it is a sweet story.

This is an easy and engaging read. It definitely tugs at the heartstrings, and I like the rapidness of the characters so far. Nothing has an easy fix so far. I'm thinking the book is pretty predictable. And reality has its price: Somer is a real downer. Maybe she isn't super realistic because someone as smart as her would have figured some things out by now. But this has been a really nice read for a sick day in bed.

Captivating so far!

Now I'm wishing I could remember more from Oryx and Crake. Hate that, but this story is fantastic and intricately woven.

Margaret Atwood's way of re-re-reading the Bible is amazing.

Enjoying it so far! It's hard to orient myself in Atwood's universe, but of course all will be revealed...

I'm the slowest poke.

It was a bit of a slow start, but now I'm getting into it. Wish I had a little more time to read.
