Ch3: The analogy of the initial Internet being ceded to those with wealth and power, just as the commons were once ceded, is a good one. Now this results in a new era of serfdom (and those pressed into sweatshop level work).

Ch2: At times I forgot this was being written as a letter to his father... so some of the writing style jarred as it brought this nack into focus. The constant references to Mad Men and Greek myths made it more entertaining but did little to sate my desire to be informed by evidence.

Vaughan is 40% done with Art Thinking: How to Carve Out Creative Space in a World of Schedules, Budgets, and Bosses
So far the title is misleading - the examples of athletes and inventors mean it is wider that just art... but at the same time the application and comentary makes this less useful for a practicing artist looking for more than generic advice.

Unless you love economic history just read the chapter summaries in part 1 of the book... even then skin and move on should be fine

Vaughan is 15% done with Hurry Up and Meditate
A large sales pitch for the "why" to meditate rather than focusing on the "how" to meditate. I didn't feel that we really necessary - someone who has picked up this book had already made that commitment and wants to go the next step. If you are going to get this book I recommend also finding the accompanying audio book of guided meditations. That provides some practical applications

Vaughan is 20% done with Sound Asleep: The Expert Guide to Sleeping Well
From an outsiders point of view this seems to be a thorough summary of the academic and scientific research on sleep. However, as a normal person who wanted to learn better practices to get better sleep this book is more likely to send you too sleep before you get to those nuggets.
