interesting formatting makes for an interesting story, switches between text and visuals every chapter.

Maddie seems to be very keen on flying an Arson, even if she never has before. She seems to want to get back to flying.

The ink seems to be a reoccurring issue in the beginning of the book. I believe it could symbolise Maddie's difficulty with telling the Nazi police the truth, as the ink is so thick that she can barely write with it.

Currently, there are little words that can describe this book. It captures the image of reality perfectly whilst also throwing in those subtle feelings of uncertainty or surrealism whenever the monster calls for the boy. Every dream that the boy has feels that it has a different feel every time, sometimes uncaring, sometimes sinister, and sometimes even a little childish. ***

Many conflicts occur in the beginning of this book.

I haven't read much about Egyptian mythology, other than the really major stuff, so I'm new to a lot of the characters and aspects in this book. I understand that this must be similar to Percy Jackson, having demigods and all... Or at least, I think that's what's gonna happen. ;;
