trying to finish this by the end of january so I’m going to have to pick up my pace and read more than one short story a night lol

Also not a fan of needing to tell us the man watching porn in the library was writing an academic paper. Kinda feels like it’s undercutting all the points made about intellectual freedom and censorship by making sure we all know it was a “morally acceptable” use.

I do think it’s a bit of an oversight to not have someone, in this day and age, remember that people living in the same house have the same IP address and make it a “twist” in the second to last chapter. Like literally I called this 3 chapters ago.

I was really vibing with this, particularly as it pertained to the thought processes of Darcy, but idk as it tumbled into the second half I find that something feels off to me with the plot. Might be a case of right book, wrong time but alas it is a netgalley read.

“England has always been disinclined to accept human nature” sometimes this book is funny.
