So far this has been more different than I was expecting compared to the tv series, and Mary’s situation has been hard to read. Her hopefulness in her interactions with Mr Sparrow and Mr Collins were quite moving, and yet seeing her sad reality seep in and spoil things for her was heartbreaking. Things are beginning to look up now though and she has encountered a Mr Hayward for the first time 👀
