Gosh I love this book (so far)!

TFW you start an audiobook and immediately recognize the narrator’s voice from a previous read (A Shadow in Moscow).

Checked out a bunch of books in May that overlapped to cover both occasions of AAPI Heritage Month and Jewish American Heritage Month. Finally starting on that list of checkouts and this book also happens to be appropriate for June (Pride Month) and July (Disability Pride Month)! Gotta love some diversity and intersectionality 🌈💗

I love that this book starts out with a chapter about a kind librarian, and then one about how the girls’ mother is understanding and ingenuitive, instead of just demanding 💗 We’ll see how the rest of the book plays out, but these two chapters seemed beyond their time, in the best way!
