This book really teaches you about decisions, and the consequences of your decisions.

This book is interesting, and a bit mysterious. I think that it is even cooler
because we are learning about the Civil War in school, and this is a historical fiction novel about a girl's lonely life working at a sugar cane field not long after the Civil War.

This book is so fun and action-packed! My heart is pounding half the time.
