This book is going really slowly for me, and I’m not enjoying it at all. May end up abandoning the series after this.

This book is better than the first insomuch as there’s helluva lot more plot.

I don't know how to feel about this. The beginning started off fast into the explicit material, but it seems to be (gasp) developing an actual plot as the story progresses. I have less than 100 pages left, so I guess I'll see if those make me want to read the next one.

This is being dnf’ed. aside from the fact that there’s absolutely zero plot, there’s also absolutely zero substance. This is the most vile thing I’ve read, and that’s saying something.

I have to admit, I was super excited to read this one, but it's slow going for me. I'm having trouble getting into it. Hoping it gets better!

...Have you ever read a book where the main character is CONSTANTLY making the wrong choices? The dumbest decisions? The most idiotic actions? AT. EVERY. TURN. This. This book is that. This story is exactly that. I'm not even exaggerating - every time Xingyin makes a choice, no matter how big or small, it is exactly the wrong one. Every time she opens her mouth, she says the exact wrong thing.

Almost every character in this story is trans, I don’t understand why the blurbs don’t offer that info for people looking for representation! As far as the story goes… I’m not sure how I feel about that yet. Im struggling to connect with the plot.
