i'm enjoying this so far but there's still so many bits of the mystery that barely seem to be starting to unravel.... which feels weird when it also has long internal info-dump monologues about how this grown woman had a crush on a guy fifty years ago and now is starting to feel those feelings again. like, i don't mind it necessarily but it feels like the author is juggling two very different tones for the book
