Ok. Plot twist came. I'm good now. Phew!

This book better have a big plot twist coming because right now it just went from a solid 4 or 5 stars to 1 star if nothing changes.

Ben & Hazel's mom dressing up more so than usual to go to a meeting in order to decide (in between adults) wether they're going to cast out a child (and her son's best friend) out of town and away from his family for something he's not even remotely responsible of simply because he's not from the same species as them is literally making me sick. Also gaslighting your own son is not great parenting. I hate that bitch.

Two chapters in and it's already the funniest shit I've read in a long time

I got kindda fed up half way through and stopped reading it for over a month but now I'm getting hooked up again!

Those valgs keep telling everyone they won't tell them their real name because it's too complicated to pronounce in their tongue. I call bullshit. They probably have ridiculous names for the people of Erilea and don't want to be humiliated on the battle field.

This is ruthless and brutal without being graphic, and damn is it hitting me in the feels

So long Sorscha, you sweet girl and complete plot device that only ever existed to complexify a male character's emotions and nothing else.

Rest in peace Tomi Ungerer. You made my childhood just a bit more poetic, magical and emotional. Young readers will always be blessed by the books you left them to read and the adults they become, like me, will always carry your stories in a little part of their heart.
