This was good, it was for bookckub or I'd never have picked it up. I enjoyed it but doubt I'm going to be a fan of this author.

Laura is finished with Time to Murder and Create (Matthew Scudder, #2)
This is well written & fast read. The hero isn't a stock hero but more a crime noir hero. I'd compare this hero to Walter Mosley's NYC based detective (who really isn't a detective).

Laura is finished with At the Crossroads: One Woman's Solo World Tour
This was very enjoyable and a quick armchair travel read. I was very impressed by the stamina & disciple of the traveler. Our bookckub got to meet the author & see the accompanying slide show which is full of lovely photos. My takeaways are: follow your dreams, expect goodness from people you meet, & be thankful for a comfy bed at the end of the day.

Laura is finished with Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry Into Values (Phaedrus, #1)
I'm finished, I marked many passages for review & would have marked more but ran out of markers, now I need to re-read marked info & see if I get why I marked it.

totally forgot I rechecked this out & renewed it even. Have I opened it since bringing it home, why no I have not & it is due tomorrow. I think my strategy is going to have to be, go to the library & read whilst there because I'm forgetting them when I bring them home. thank goodness for due date email reminders.

Laura is reading Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry Into Values (Phaedrus, #1)
finished part 1 & am into part 2, I had to get out my book clips for quotes in part 2, but maybe that was cuz I couldn't sleep & finally got out of bed at 330am to read, so what I found profound may just be lack of sleep. I probably need to re -read those parts again, sigh.

much easier time of it in the poem/play itself. I'm sure I can finish by tomorrow night now that I'm finished with the forwards.

never even cracked it open, will have to check out again, sigh. Non-fiction will not defeat me, I'll just have to work on 1 book per month.

have to return to the library today as there is a hold on it but Shout Out to Maria the phone librarian for putting me on the holds list again so I'm #2 in queue, wish I'd began reading this earlier than today but que sera. I'm in the historical context part of the book & yet still gleaned some good nuggets for thought.

this poor book, I've neglected it so...I can't read it late at night because it is so packed with ideas, I'd never sleep, yet I don't drag it around as a read whilst waiting book because it is hardback. Such a calumity.

I don't know the true pg # but I think we've passed the century mark & are now in the 1900s. So interesting but densely written. Many concepts taken a as "of course, hasn't it always been thought of that way" are started by these curious & tenacious people. I'm in awe. And reading very slowly...a chapter every few days, trying to let the few pieces I grasp sink in.

Maybe, I've finally hit the wall when it comes to romances, I just didn't want to even start. I've read it before but have enjoyed rereading this series. Weird, maybe next year
