DNF at 28%. I guess reverse harem with these many men—FIVE!!!—is not my cup of tea. I will, however, try to read Amaryllis’s story on later date.

I’m this close to DNF this book. How many times does she have to run away from him? There has to be a plot somewhere that doesn’t involve growling and running and more growling and more running. It’s so exhausting.

The writing is phenomenal. My heart aches for a character I never thought I’d feel sorry for.

Okay, I take it back—it’s a gloss-over, thank the erotic romance genre gods.

SPOILER AHEAD! I keep hoping that that one cursed (ugh) scene involving the two half-siblings does not appear but alas it appears AND IT IS VERY DESCRIPTIVE (I WAS HOPING FOR A GLOSS-OVER OR EVEN A FADE-TO-BLACK SCENE!). I have to stop for a bit to catch my breath. This book is now a not-safe for me. 🥲

I’m only a few pages in and this book has already wow-ed me and got me crying by the end of the first chapter. YESSSS.

After finding myself liking and loving the Hell’s Handlers series, I’m going to try this again.

HOW CAN ANYONE TAKE THIS BOOK SERIOUSLY

I DNF-ed this one back in February. Decided to pick this up again last night. I’m now reading it for laughs. It’s so bad. So, so bad. And it’s funny, because I know Zoey can write! I love her Horde Kings series.

Four things. One, Giana Darling is a new author to me. Two, she writes like a dream. Three, erotic romance is not new to me. Four, this book however is making me question things and taking me right out of my comfort zone. Wow. Just wow.

This book is not what I expected at all. Holy hell. I am both terrified and impressed by the plot and writing.

Cristiano is an ass.

I am this close to DNF-ing this book. Honestly. Somebody please tell Scarlett that you’ll trap more flies with HONEY. She’s a little TSTL at this point, very exasperating.
