I came across a 1895 copy of this in a resale store while I was shopping for nothing in particular and decided to buy it because of its age and pretty rainbow cover. I couldn't find any summaries of it when I intially looked online so I kind of expected to be bored to tears when I started reading it. To my surprise I'm really enjoying it so far. I do find the verse a little difficult to follow though.

I have ancestors who lived in Spanish Florida and spoke Spanish. My mother and I have been researching those ancestors for many years now and I finally became tired of struggling to translate documents with google searches. Should be fairly easy to learn since I took some Spanish in high school.

I couldn't with this. I tried but it just never became interesting enough to not feel like a chore to read. Will be giving it away.

Pretty bored with this so far and I'm having difficulty relating to the characters.
