Today Logan's mother tries to make Logan become friends with popular boys. They all play sports and are popular at school while Logan is neither. Logan is miserable and doesn't make an effort to be friends with them. He really only gets along with Arthur but Logan's mother forbade him from seeing Arthur. She is angry that Logan doesn't want to be friends with the popular boys.

Arthur and Logan found out that Silas found the note about amusement park maps in the library. They steal the maps from the library and make a commotion in the process. The librarian finds them in the bathroom and makes them do chores. They are happy about this as Silas is not able to find them.

Today I read more about the abandoned amusement park. People are very unhappy that it is being turned into a housing development. It was a mainstay of the town and passed down from generation to generation. Though it is mysterious people in the town like it.

In chapter 3 Arthur shows Logan the town. When they are on the edge of the town bordering the highway Logan sees abandoned buildings with signs saying "save the magic forest." Logan asks about it Arthur tells him it is an abandoned amusement park that was bought by a housing development company.
