Take a shot every time a poem in the section "The Change" uses the world "change" in the text

Finished section 2 and the subject matter felt pretty much the same between the two sections. There were more of the "fable" esque entries during this section but besides that it was mostly the same

This reads like someone trying to grow from the insta poetry era, but still being beholden to its typical style and cliches

I also wasn't expecting the mix of prose/micro fiction mixed in with poetry.

So far I think the only one I went "yeah that was solid" was 'Forget me Not"

This book cannot convince me that Bastion's existence was nothing more than afterthought lmao I am enjoying Briar and the Gang's hijinks though. Pls let them be happy

See the issue with this is that I'm going to like the trio of weirdos far more than Seb and be greatly upset when this becomes more about him instead of Briar's questionable but entertaining budding friendship with them in the midst of all the bullshit at this school

Is it worth it to finish, I wonder.....

Does Stephanie Garber know Spanish and picked the silly names on purpose or no? OR did she just pick whatever sounded good and hope no one would notice because the average person reading this wouldn't know an ounce or Spanish (hopefully)?

Honestly, I'm having fun lol. We'll see how this goes now that we're exiting the intro, but I'm enjoying it more than I expected so far

This has genuinely been such a fantastic time so far

I feel like these are the vibes I was looking for in "A Spirit Bares It's Teeth" tbh

Yeah I literally remember nothing from this except for the stomach scene lmao

I feel like I remembered the first two books pretty well on a reread (considering I read them over a decade ago at this point), but boy howdy do I not remember a single thing from this last book

Taking my time with this because it's already so emotionally exhausting
