Critical question: How does Rachel's relationship with Jason and Jess affect her behavior and emotional state?

Essential question: Why is it so easy for relationships to fall apart?

I have just started this book and though i'm not very far I feel like so much has happened already. I love how the author gives two perspectives which alternate each chapter. It's cool to see how the Rachel envies "Jess" aka Megan because she thinks her life is absolutely perfect but then you get Megan's perspective and you realize Megan would not agree.

The book still seems very vague after being about a fourth of the way through. I feel that the author might be holding back a little bit but I guess that't how mystery novels work.

This book is already so captivating. I can tell this is going to be a great book and series.
