Definitely planning to buy!

Just wow. He writes the way he speaks. He speaks like a poet who’s had a lot of life, a little too much whiskey & tequila, & more fun than most people would ever know what to do with. Henry Miller, John Steinbeck, Hemingway… but with a better appreciation of life & a whole lot more laughter.

I’ve enjoyed the series so far! I think I liked the first two books better, but we’ll see as this story progresses.

I’m really enjoying this one so far. I didn’t realize Britney had such a rough childhood. Her family history is fascinating, as well.

Agnès/Isobel is an interesting character so far.
Mabel - which I KEEP wrongly reading as Marvelled - is going to be trouble.
Lulu is delulu, but sweet, so far
I hope Ella isn't a casualty but it seems she will be.

Jay is James. Cosmo is Ginger. I figured that out early on.

Something has definitely happened with Lottie. Now she's only responding with emojis. I wonder if she was kept from the France trip & James has her or if Cosmo is on the trip & he has her.

Pretty sure Laurel could be Sofie.
Did Nico drown or did the boys somehow get to him?
Julia IS growing, so that's a plus.

Cosmo is a super creep.
James is an arrogant, manipulative abuser.
Julia is shallow.

I hope Julia grows quickly. Otherwise, this is a just another book about bad people making perpetually bad choices. At 22% of the way through, I predict that both Cosmo & James are pedophiles. Lottie, Julia’s daughter, knows more than she lets on & has possibly already been molested by at least one of them.

Interesting so far. I’m not crazy about some of the lingo. Sun jumps could have just been days. It seems that little things like these does not feel like a solid world-building language. Still, it looks like there might be a decent plot here.

Flying men, fighting giant worms, “rude hand gesture” . . . ACOTAR was obviously a big influence here, to the point of this being almost redundant. I read “vulgar gesture” so many times through the series that I really don’t want to see it here. Sticking to this book might actually be harder than I initially thought.

This is feeling a bit too much like A Court of Thorns & Roses. It’s less than 300 pages long, though, so I’ll probably stick with it. I would prefer fresher material, though!

I absolutely love this book so far. Matthew Perry’s dark humor comes through in the most dire of situations & makes the all the other little funny things come to life even more. I don’t want this book to end, but I can’t wait to finish it!

Jennette is absolutely phenomenal.

I think this is my favorite John Green book.
I find Aza to be incredibly relatable... & I'm wondering what that says about me.
