Vincent is starting Earth Strike (Star Carrier, #1)
Picking up a new series and a new author. The series and the author have been around but are new to me. All of his series definitely look interesting.

This was a great read. From beginning to end, it was non stop with no slow parts. I really enjoy the Old Republic Novels. A different take on Star Wars with different characters. The movies don't do the novels justice. For any SW fan that doesn't know where to start with the novels, start with Dawn of Jedi (Into the Void) and follow it up with the 4 Old Republic novels.

So far, this is a great collection of short stories. These days, most authors tend to write 400 page novels. While full of content, they can sometimes be a bit cumbersome. The writing of short stories is a forgotten art and, this anthology has done well reminding me of how great short stories are.

Thoroughly enjoying the universe created by Johnston. One of the things I enjoy most about sci-fi literature is seeing into another's imagination. Great read so far.

I haven't had much time to read, because of school, but so far I am intrigued by the universe that Josh Johnston is envisioning for this novel. I am getting a sense that this will be more than just sci fi. It seems to have a political and other components to it as well. So far a great read!
