I’m in love with these books, already cannot wait for the fourth volume to be published in April.

I started this book at the end of March and I’m still only half the way in.. I don’t know why it’s not drawing me in, the writing is amazing but I have to force myself to keep reading at times.

This book reminds me of Before Sunrise. Not sure if I love it, or if it’s a drag

I don’t know why I can’t finish this book… everytime I start reading there are bits and pieces that I really appreciate, but then some others that bore me. So when I put the book down, I can’t seem to find the motivation to pick it back up.

I really thought I was going to like it more :(

Great writing, but the pacing could have been better.. in some parts it was too slow for my liking.

So hypnotic, takes me to a dreamy state between sleep and wakefulness, between life and death. Takes me somewhere undefined…

Each time I pick up this book, I get lost in a dream-like stance. The real world disappears and the writing just pulls me in so strongly.

The moment I put the book down though, somehow it loses all the power it holds over me. Nothing like I’ve ever read, and even if I’m not sure whether I understand any part of what Jon Fosse wanted to communicate; I am in love with these melodically flowing lines.

“I was haunted by a certainty that there was some essential, fatal flaw in the basis of my thinking, a guarantee that any thought, by virtue of its premise, would be mistaken.” In which universe is this from the point of view of a middle school kid?

The book was so painful, so real until Chapter 6. Does any middle school kid speak like Momose? I’ve heard Heaven called “the perfect book” but this chapter was really disappointing.

Reading this book hurts so so much, yet I cannot put it down.

I’m midway through this book and I feel like keeping the book this short made it overly light. I could have enjoyed it more if there was more content in the pages of each Tuesday conversation. So far, each one is only a few pages long and spends unnecessary lines on describing Mitch buying food for his teacher, driving, flying etc.. I do enjoy the memories between each chapter though.
