In my book right now, I am thinking about how the book relates so much to history. Like how there were carriages that were pulled by horses. Also, the book reminds me of how this doctor is very selfish by just going out to safe people for money, and just so he can us his scalpel when he should be thinking about saving people for the sake of their life.

So far in the book, the character is a captain of a submarine and has given orders to his crew to go to a ship in the water.

A few pages before where I am Ishmael was informing me what different parts of a whale is, one of the things was the white-horse.

Little to nothing I have read today so far in Moby~Dick. This book is going great eventhough the few vocabulary words almost always stay on my mind. That will not change the way I respond to the book. I will make sue that the vocabulary is in my mind like a rock and so I can not think about it again.

Quickly I read today because Ismael was talking about how Queequeg was slashing his axe at the chain which held the harpoon to the harpooning gun. During the time Queequeg was slashing the chain the rest of the crew just watched as the whale goes sinking to the bottom of the ocean. reading the rest of the chapter was a breeze because all Ishmael talked about was the sparks that came flying from the chain.

How I knew it had a part in navigating was because the second half of the word had navigating in it.

I stopped at this page today because there was one word I could not completely understand, the word was circumnavigating. At the time I read the word I saw navigating which brought me to think that it would have something to do with global waters and navigation. And I got it correct, but the only way that happened was because I knew that it had to have some part in navigating.

I can't wait to read to see what will happen in the next few chapters. I also cannot wait to see if there is a metaphor in the next few chapters. The most recent metaphor was when Ishmael was describing how the dead whales would always float onto the surface of the water. That made me think about how when someone is dead or is unconscious, they will float to the surface of the water.

The part of this book is right now somewhat confusing. The reason why I say this is because there are some parts that don't make sense just the way it's written.

Ahab is an extraordinary character in this book. He is very unpredictable to me because there is never a chapter where he is acting the same.

I love where I am! I was reading this morning and the chapter I was in was when Captain Stubb yells at the cook because the whale steak was not cooked correctly. I love the part because of how Stubb was so mad at the cook.

The book is going great where I am at this time! I am half way done and I have found 7 new words and that is it.

I was reading the book today and didn't know what a word was so what I did was search up the word. Amazingly the word is not a word very many people use in the 21st century but when this book was written it had been used 40 to 50 times the amount now. The word I did not know was "ostensible".
