This book is officially one of my favorite books if not my favorite of all time. The author puts in so many twists and turns and catches me off guard so many times, and personally, I love it! The characters are all developing really well and they are making the book run smoother than smooth. I can't remember the last book that made me feel this way!

Throughout the book, I have really learned what it is like to be crazy popular and all of the crazy opportunities (good and bad) that are magically opened to you. Terrell in my book is that guy, but luckily for him, he has a very caring coach and point guard who try their hardest to keep him in line and try and help him steer clear of those who will hurt him and his reputation as a basketball player.

Today, Eddie is now finally starting to come to sense with who he is as a person and as a reader it is really fun to see! He now knows who his dad is and what he truly stood for and it wasn't at all the crappy person that Eddie saw in him. His dad was a caring and loving person beneath all the layers and unfortunately Eddie never saw that during the time they had together on the Earth.

Today, Eddie has traveled on to a third person and it brought him back to many unfortunate events with his dad. Ever since Eddie came back wounded from the war, his dad refused to talk to him, came home drunk, and beat his brother and him with his belt. I couldn't even imagine the brutality of this because when the boys looked to their mother, she would try to help, but their father told her not to get involved.

I recently started a new book and so far have really enjoyed it. The author's style really helps me understand further what's going on in the story. They provide a real-time part, a flashback to his birthday and depending on which of the five people that he's visiting in heaven, then it'll give him a flashback in his life as to why that person is one of the people he meets.

Today as Violet was riding a train to a supposedly safe hotel away from the gangsters and Fujikawa, Violet got a not put into her pocket by an unknown person and the note said how in Japan, you always have to go by the rules and if you don't you'll stick out like a standing nail and become caught. I think that this is going to be a start to something bad. Then in the shower room Violet saw one of the gangsters.

I think that as a result of the case getting serious now, for the first time in the entire book, Violets dad has woken up and actually started to watch out for Violet and I think this all has to go back to her fortune she got earlier which was "crossing dark waters, but there will be a loving person there to help save her" and I think she'll cross the dark waters but her dad will be there for her and "save" her.

Today, when Violet got her fortune and it said how she will soon cross dark waters, but there is always someone on the other side of the water who is caring will come into play in the upcoming chapters. I think this because a reoccurring theme in the story is that the author gives hints here and there to the readers and this I feel will be a very big twist to the story as Violet becomes more involved in the case.

In my book, I am very intrigued as far as whenever Violet goes into her "Kimono Girl" stages and she starts to see and or draw certain stuff on her page, it almost always comes true in the next book and this is really making me suspicious in the fact that she can almost predict the future with what she draws. It is a very important time in the story so I never will know until probably the end.

So far, I am very intrigued in the book, and I already think that I have figured out who the protagonist is and who the antagonist is. The antagonist is Violet's dads girlfriend named Skye. She is always giving Violet dirty looks, and when Violet's dad was complimented on his work, she went into a choking spree as if to tell the people to not compliment him. She is very suspicious to me right now for many reasons.

Today, I am really starting to side with the decisions of Marcus. I am fully in support of him manning up to his mistakes and not hiding from it and denying it over and over again like Eddie is doing. Now in my opinion, Marcus doesn't have to live with a "shadow" over his head forever like Eddie will because he admitted it and is now going to get it our of the way. Time is running out for Eddie very quickly.

Today I was amazed at what I read. Eddie finally got caught for shooting the gun and all throughout this, I had a pit in my stomach because the author had me so engaged that I was tricked into believing that I was Eddie and throwing away everything I had every worked for. I guess the main thing that I realized today that even if it's you and your best friend, the person at fault will always get caught in the end.

In my book, I am feeling real bad for Jay as he is really unlucky in almost everything he does. His mom left him when he was nine and said that he was just as bad as his dad. He is living alone while his dad is working at a restaurant in LA and finally, he was just starting to like this girl who is a singer and sings at the bar he works at and then he figured out that she's dating someone else and he was bummed.

In this book, I really am enjoying it. The main character Jay is growing up on his own without parents in a rough town in Pennsylvania and loves to play basketball which makes him great! I get the feeling that he is really hard on himself because he is saying how he isn't very good at basketball, but so far, he hasn't missed a shot in the games he has played. The only time he hasn't played well was in the start.

The book started off with a lot of action but now, the book has not kept that up. Part of the reason is because he is going insane with being kept up in his cell for so long and not being able to see the outside world and interact with his friends and family. I feel bad for him, but I don't like how just that since he's gone crazy, the action has pretty much stopped since he got kidnapped. I hope there's more action

Not much has changed so far other than Khalid is getting real defensive during his questioning sessions. He is even admitting to bombing with other members of al-queda which he never did. Now, I can't see him ever getting out of that place now that they have his word. I think that the jail time has made him actually go crazy which isn't helping his chance to get out, and more importantly, stay alive.

This story has gotten a lot more intense causing me to think about a lot more things. Now, he is in what people call one of the worst prisons in the world and he didn't even do anything. They say that he and some other terrorists he was working with were planning a bombing in London. He never did this, but he isn't helping his cause by giving the soldiers attitude. That is the last thing I would do if I were him.

There wasn't much information provided that would make me be able to make any connections other than he is seeming to be a secretive kid as he sneaks off at night after lying to his parents about him going to get help for math problems. He also seems to live in a rough town because they are always talking about how there are a lot of kids smoking and drinking beer on school property. He even admitted to doing it.

This book has gotten so good since the beginning. This is definitely the best book I have read so far this year. The boys mom has gone out of this world crazy and there is no helping. Both boys are now getting along better which I think is essential for them to be able to find a solution to get out of this mess. They have just contacted their grandma who hasn't talked to them in 10 years, and she is coming to help.

Today the topic was how Felton all of a sudden realized he had grown to be six one and he was able to now dunk a basketball, and becoming a division I prospect! This was a very exciting to me because I really want to be tall someday, be able to dunk and become a dI prospect for basketball. These are the types of books that I love to read for these reasons because they all relate to me.

A big reoccurring event that is happening in the story, is Felton's mom keeps on going through these times where she seems like she's staring off into space and gets all pale. Her most recent occurance was when Felton came home and started listening to his dads music but he committed suicide a while ago. Felton is now caught up in the middle of it all and I can't imagine what he's going through right now.
