I feel like the Garfield just dropped all his fave things in a blender and ran with it? If you're the kind of person who loves baseball, werewolves, the 60's, the Maine coast, and time travel ALL AT ONCE then friend, I have a book for you. This was a little slow to start since I had to muddle through some unfamiliar baseball jargon, but I'm really digging it now and I have absolutely no idea where it's going.

I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting -- I have an older edition of this novel, published by MLR Press, so I think less than judging a book by its cover, I was judging it by its publisher -- but it's first and foremost a horror novel. With angels. I'm kind of adoring it so far.
