on my flight yesterday I discovered i was farther in this than I thought and then barely didn't have time to finish.

this book is gonna smack you in the face at the very end answering the question that's throughout the book and I'm gonna slap myself for it being in my face the entire time but not seeing it, I'm calling it

I'm just... confused. It's a good kind of confusion, but still... confused.

I've been trying to read this book since November, so I'm finally gonna buckle down and read it through, or abandon it for good.

I don't judge books this early on, but I'm seriously side-eyeing some of thisssssss. I'm trying to get to the 100 page mark, but YIKE MAN.

If I have to read the word "fuck" again, in any context, I'm going to scream, Jesus Christ.

I'm so baffled. who is this forward about being a hit man, who goes on a date with someone who says they're a hit man what (this sub plot is so... there.)

someone needs to force me to put this book down or I'll get no sleep

I'll be honest, I've been trying to read this since July and am only this far in it because I started skipping pages... it's not boding well.

I don't want to say I'm struggling but... (no, I'm just being nitpick-y about [some of] the phrases and tense in this book. And how Crouch writes his female character). It's not all bad, but my personal preference is making itself known with this book. sigh.

I'd be farther in this book if I STOPPED READING IT AT NIGHT, because it hits the the creep factor note*, 10/10. (And I'm not easily creeped out.)

*for now, anyway. hopefully it stays that way.

I'm having such a hard time getting through this book; through all the narrative changes, plot (and sub plots) crowding in, I can only read a few chapters at a time. I get into a storyline and bam, the POV switches again. (And what, six POV's in the book?? Talk about a lot to keep up with.) Bleh. And it's slow moving and I just... can't enjoy/get into this book the way I expected to after Crown of Midnight.
