Finished the chapter on egoism — but the book treats only one version (Objectivism), ignoring other strains of egoism entirely. That narrow focus feels too limited for a textbook. Excluding thinkers like Stirner or Mainländer may suit a Christian-ethics volume — but it undermines the claim to offer serious philosophical breadth.

So far, it's okay. He sometimes focuses on cult leaders like Jim Jones and Sun Myung Moon when he could be talking about Trump.

I can do without the child sex and cat death.

This book seems to be about a child written from the point of view of an adult. Children are not this mature.
