Just started this and Kalanithi's reflections on language as a way of understanding human relationships and emotions immediately reminded me of Babel by R F Kuang. Fascinating how both explore the relationship between language and human experience. While Babel explores language's limitations in conveying meaning, Kalanithi seems interested in its power to help us understand what it means to be human.

This is one of those books I’d love to revisit 20 years from now. Not just to follow the plot, but to linger on the details and intricacies of the human mind that I may have missed the first time.

For now, I carry on with my still-immature mind.

One of the best narratives I've ever read.
The way Hemingway narrates a simple adventure of an old fisherman is mesmerising. Definitely a must read.
