It feels as though rather than having been written, these stories just happen, in an absurd universe just like our own. There is nothing extra, nothing that betrays a writer crafting, just a narrator at once cruel and vulnerable, a bigot and a victim, but fully human and showing us to ourselves.

Too technical for me, but I can tell it’s a fine, smart, funny story.
