Am I… *checks book* am I reading the same book you guys are? I’m trying to figure out why this book is so highly rated because I am DRAGGING through this series. You know it’s bad when I roll my eyes at the end of a chapter that just felt like filler with bad inner monologue. Yikes. I have 90 pages left and I really don’t know if I can finish this so stay tuned.

I started this like... a week and a half ago? I really should have been paying attention, ugh.

Not even kidding though, I am like so close to DNF. I want to finish it out of spite because holy sh*t it's a long one and I'm invested now but F*CK. The first 50% was SO good, and then it's literally just been downhill. Send help and emotional support probably, this sh*t sucks lol

Okay. I have to pause for a minute and say something. I've read two (?) other books from this author, but I've noticed that Penelope Douglas has fantastic taste in music. Maybe I'm partial because I already was a heavy metal/hard rock fan, but SHIT. I am floored by some of the songs that are appearing.

In fact, it's my new favorite thing now to add more songs to the playlist I'm making for this book. I'm in LOVE
