I wish there were other POVs in this book. I loathe Diem.

- This book is TOO LONG for no reason. Tharion's chapters are all pointless (I know because since this is a reread, I am skipping his POVs and still following the story just fine).

- There are also just so many male voices. And they're all horny for Bryce 🙄

- "Balls tightening"...just...no.

- Hunt has very little personality in this book aside from being a horndog.

The flashbacks...I hated them so much.

That bit about the protein shake. F$#king GROSS. WHY?!?!?!?!

I feel like I have been reading this book forever and am only 65% done. Also -- these people do not behave like a 39 and 44 y.o.

The problem with waiting like 5 years between books 4 and 5 of an epic fantasy like this is I currently have no freaking idea what is going on 😅 I've forgotten how the colours work, who characters are, the politics...basically everything. 🙈

I enjoyed the silliness of book 1 but book 2, so far, just seems to have a formula I've read dozens of times before. Torin and Ava are dull. I loved their spark in book 1 but now they're boring.

I wish authors realised that it's okay for characters to call their love interests by their names. The forced nicknames I've read recently include "winter", "storm", "sparrow", "bird", and now "little one". The last one is particularly icky because it sounds more like something a parent would call their child.

The knife thing is also getting old. It's like Isolde's only reaction to any situation she doesn't like is to pull a knife.

I REALLY don't like Isolde. She is jealous, petty, and seems like your average "I'm not like the other girls -- I fight and stuff and hate girly things and am therefore superior" mean girl.

Also -- women do not behave like this in real life. Constantly competing with and belittling each other over men. Ew.

The fact that this is the same author who BLEW MY MIND with Six of Crows is wild. I am so bored 😭

Bit nervous about this one because I find Cooper really, really irritating. And from what I've read so far, his flirting is obnoxious and icky.
