I read this book in my teens, that is, >30 years ago. I remember that I liked it, but not much more. Like the other rereads of vintage King, this one is holding up well!

This book is making my blood boil. I knew being pregnant in the US was terrible, but it’s atrocious! Women being jailed after birth for one failed drug test while being pregnant— separated from their child, not given pads or any follow up care. It’s atrocious. The stories that put the US in last place of wealthy countries in terms of maternal and baby death are horrific.

Well thank goodness I never had any children! 😂

This book is annoying. Not even the second murder is improving things.

Barely keeping my interest, but at least it's not very long.

Started off strongly and started to seriously sag by 30%.

If Cynthia nods one more time I will break her figurative neck. I should have dropped the book as soon as I had my doubts, which was at about page 5.

This is so dumb my head hurts.

This is sooo boooring! Worst book of the year so far. Disconnected plot and characters that I don’t care about.

If it doesn’t have a price tag, it’s worthless. Such as care of children, the household, elderly parents and the like.
