This is quite riveting!

This reads like a thriller despite being nonfiction. Made all the more uncomfortable by the fact that there is an ongoing Ebola epidemic that has already killed more than 3000 people.

There’s nothing like a well written non fiction book to soothe a mind railing against terrible fiction experiences!

This is stupidly predictable that my ears are bleeding.

I am SO tired of unreliable narrators. 😖

The eye rolling and the sighs have started as I grow increasingly disenchanted with this book. I can’t believe I am only half way through. 🫠

Love to listen to the audiobook and the Australian accents. The setting is eerie and disquiet, but other than this I'm not quite feeling it. I don't really care for either of the sisters looking for a brother lost to a mountain without Mercy several years ago.

This is actually quite engaging so far. Not a single eyeroll or exasperated sigh up to this point.

The first woman: Polly. She was not a prostitute, but she was destitute and living on the streets after leaving her cheating husband.

I hate everything about this story and how likely is this to change before the end of the book?

This is ridiculously boring.

I am also acquainted with with the "wine witch", that nagging voice inside your head that says "oh you deserve this", "just a glass, it's been a rough week", "this deserves celebration"... and so on. She's silent the months I don't drink at all. Which is why I am considering going teetotal. Despite the wine witch, my drinking is limited to a few glasses per month. But I don't like her.

This is so good! Hilarious, insightful and sometimes painful.

Classic quest fantasy, and a good one! So happy to have a book with humor in it again.
