The only unsympathetic character in The Fault in Our Stars is Peter Van Houten. He didn't seem to care about anyone else; he was pretty rude. He thought that people could only draw meaning from his book if they understood it the exact way that he did. He didn't let Hazel and Augustus have their own perspective if it was different then his. He disregarded them and pratcically everyone else who read his book.

I came across a review that said Quests for Glory the perfect book for kids who are growing up in this time period to read. As I've been reading this book I can see all of themes that I think influenced the writer of that review to have that opinion. It also makes me wonder how much the story is going to progress in the next hundred pages because currently it's just setting themes up to be completed in sequels.

How is the author going to put Tedros through the character development that is essential to his character? Tedros' parents are King Arthur and Guinevere. His mom left his dad for Lancelot. Tedros is constantly trying to live up to Arthur. There's clues that have led me to believe that his dad is Lancelot because it will force him to stop thinking about what his dad would do and start thinking about what he will do.

When I read a book I usually visualize feelings, sounds, and how things look. I think about how things taste, but not as often. In this book there's a lot of descriptions and an overall atmosphere and feel to each location that makes it easy to visualize every scene and character. When I don't remember what I read it's usually because I started thinking about something else so re-reading the passage always helps.
